This notice explains how Bedrock Flow, Inc., d/b/a TypeOrb ("Bedrock Flow", "we"), uses cookies and similar technologies on typeorb.com and app.typeorb.com. It should be read with our Privacy Policy at typeorb.com/privacy.
What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include browser local storage and session storage, which websites use to store information on your device. In this notice, "cookies" covers all of them.
How we use them
Strictly necessary cookies make the site and app work: they keep you signed in, protect your session and the sign-in process, remember your cookie choices, and remember that you agreed to our terms when you sign up. Functional cookies and similar storage remember settings you choose, such as your theme, language, sidebar and table layout, and the sign-in method you used last. Neither needs your consent.
Analytics cookies (PostHog) help us understand how people use our website and product, so we can improve them. We set or read them only after you click "Accept" in our cookie banner or turn on Analytics in . Before you make a choice, and if you reject, PostHog is not loaded at all: it sets no cookies, stores nothing in local or session storage, sends no events or other requests to PostHog, and creates no session ID. Our analytics do not record the content you write or the AI prompts and outputs in the app.
Session replay (Sentry, in the app only) helps us find and fix bugs by recording how a page was used, with text and form inputs masked. It is added only after you consent to session replay. Basic error reports from Sentry stay on whatever you choose; they are sent without session replay and without personal data, do not store anything on your device, and we use them on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the app working.
Support chat (in the app, for signed-in users) is loaded only after you open the chat. Our own support chat software, which we host ourselves, then sets cookies to keep your conversation going. Until you open the chat, it is not loaded and sets nothing on your device.
Payments: checkout and the billing portal are pages hosted by our payment processor, Stripe, which you reach by being redirected from our app. We do not load Stripe's scripts on typeorb.com or app.typeorb.com, so Stripe sets no cookies on our domains. Stripe's pages have their own privacy and cookie notices.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Our website fonts and the app's icon font are hosted by us, so loading them does not send your IP address to a third party.
Your choices
When you first visit, our banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or choose by category. "Accept" and "Reject" are shown with equal prominence. We store your choice in a first-party cookie (typeorb_consent) for 183 days (about 6 months) and keep an anonymous record of each decision (time, choice, banner version, and where it was made) in our server logs, without your user ID, and we ask again if we change the banner or the technologies we use, or when your stored choice expires after about 6 months. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via (in the website footer, in the app's sidebar footer, and on our Privacy and Terms pages); when you withdraw consent, the page reloads so that analytics and session replay stop, and withdrawing does not affect earlier use. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop the app from working. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a rejection of non-essential cookies. Like most websites, our servers keep standard access logs, which may include your IP address.
